    Been camping since childhood and cooked a lot of potatoes over a fire. Never heard of or considered using a tin can. Could help to save the skin which can get burnt when potato is just wrapped in tin foil. Will try it for sure.

    Nothin is better than camping potatoes. I like to wrap them in tin foil and put them on the fire with some butter, salt and pepper. good stuff
